The Alamuye of Amuye-Faforiji in Atakumosa East Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Dr. Adebayo Faforiji has encouraged Nigerians to remain united in prayer for the nation’s greatness at all times .

The Monarch who gave the admonition while speaking with journalists in Osogbo, Osun State Capital, called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and prayerful as the nation navigates through its current economic and social challenges.

While expressing gratitude to God for His mercies and compassion over the year 2024, Oba Faforiji emphasized the need for resilience during this turbulent period. “The year 2024 has been very turbulent and challenging. However, I want to believe that the current hardship will soon give way to a period of plenty and surplus,” the monarch said. “We must persevere and pray that the days of these trials and tribulations are shortened so that Nigerians do not lose hope of a brighter future.”

The traditional ruler highlighted the efforts of the Alamuye-in-Council under his leadership in collaboration with well-meaning indigenes, both at home and abroad, to improve the lives of the people of Amuye-Faforiji even as he also acknowledged the state government’s support, particularly the recent renovation of the community’s maternity centre.

“We are grateful to the state government for complementing our efforts with the renovation of our maternity centre this year. However, we sincerely request His Excellency, Asiwaju Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, to prioritize the tarring of the 34-kilometre Garage Olode-Faforiji-Ifewara road, which is almost impassable now,” Oba Faforiji appealed.

The monarch further urged Nigerians, especially those living abroad, to adopt a positive attitude towards their homeland.

He cautioned against negative remarks, stating that such attitudes could hinder the nation’s progress.

“No matter how sweet other countries are, and no matter how bitter Nigeria is now, it remains our home. Our negative attitude or comments about it will be a great disservice to its potential development,” he emphasized.
