Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ijesaland have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Lawmaker representing Atakumosa West and East Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, Honourable Sanmi Ebenezer Areoye citing his modest achievements and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
Speaking at a medical outreach and empowerment program organized by Hon. Areoye in Osu, the headquarters of Atakumosa West Local Government, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Dosu Babatunde, commended the lawmaker for exceeding expectations.
“We must particularly appreciate and commend Honourable Sanmi Areoye for delivering on the promises he made during his campaign. He has not only fulfilled them but has also surpassed our expectations. His achievements are a testament to his effective representation and commitment to the people,” Honourable Dosu said.
The former Atakumosa West Council Chairman who highlighted the lawmaker’s performance within his first one year and eight months in office said “With two years and a few months still ahead, Hon. Areoye has demonstrated that he will achieve even more for our people. His long arm of good representation will undoubtedly reach everyone in the constituency,” he said.
In his remarks, the People’s Democratic Party Chairman in Osun State, Honourable Sunday Bisi, said the lawmaker has been doing the party proud through his unwavering commitment to delivering quality representation, fostering development across his constituency.
He further praised the lawmaker for being a shining example of effective leadership and a true ambassador of the PDP’s mission to prioritize the welfare of the people.
The medical outreach and empowerment program drew hundreds of constituents where Honourable Sanmi Areoye distributed items worth millions of naira, including Gasoline brush cutters for all secondary schools in the constituency, Exercise books for students across all secondary schools, Table gas cookers and cylinders for women leaders in wards and local governments, Knapsack sprayers and herbicides for local government executives, ward vice chairmen, secretaries, and youth leaders, 32-inch LG plasma televisions for local government and ward party chairmen, Cash gifts for party leaders across the wards.
The program featured a comprehensive healthcare initiative such as Eye care services, including diagnosis, medications, and free glasses, General health care services, including diagnosis and medications, Dental care services for diagnosis and treatment, OHIS registration for 100 patients across Atakumosa East and West local governments.
Hon. Areoye also launched the “Sanmi Sisters” cash gift and donation initiative to empower women in the constituency.
