The people of Erin Oke Kingdom, Ijesa, are set to witness a historic moment as His Royal Majesty, Oba Akintola Imran Ayodeji, Akintululese Ilufemiloye I, will be installed and presented with the Staff of Office on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
A Release made available to IjesaNews by the Traditional Ruler indicates that the installation ceremony will take place at the Irepodun High School playing ground in Erin Oke Kingdom, Ijesa, starting at 10:00 AM.
It added that the grand event will be graced by the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, who will officially present the Staff of Office to the monarch.
Notable dignitaries and eminent personalities expected it to grace the occasion are The Royal Father of the Day, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, while Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, will serve as the Chairman of the Day.
The Special Guest of Honour for the event is Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, former Governor of Osun State and ex-Minister of Interior, alongside distinguished guests such as Barrister Sam Ode, Deputy Governor of Benue State, and Comptroller-General of Customs, B.A. Adeniyi.
The Chairperson of the Day is Hon. Dr. (Mrs.) Funmilayo Akande Mohammed, Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area in Lagos State.
Other dignitaries expected include Dr. Christopher Kolade, renowned diplomat and indigene of Erin Oke; Alhaji Galadima Saidu, retired Deputy Comptroller General of Customs; Maj. Gen. Niyi Dare, Dean of the Faculty of Operational Logistics Research, Nigerian Army; and Dr. Godwin Ehigiamuose, Founder and CEO of LAPO Group.
