Alhaji Lasisi Akanbi Faseun Named First Asiwaju of Erin Oke

The Alua of Erin Oke Ijesa, Oba Akintola Imran Ayodeji, has officially announced renowned chartered accountant Alhaji Lasisi Akanbi Faseun as the first Asiwaju of Erin Oke.

The announcement came shortly after the traditional ruler received his Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment from Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

Oba Akintola emphasized the importance of recognizing outstanding individuals, “I think it’s ideal to appreciate whoever is doing fine. When someone is good, you just have to let people know that this person is good,” he said.

He praised Alhaji Faseun as an illustrious indigene of Erin Oke who has made significant contributions to the town’s development, “He spends his money to build classrooms, to pay school fees, to pay WAEC fees, and he has done marvelously well,” the monarch stated.

Announcing the title, Oba Akintola declared, “In view of this development, I’m using this medium to announce Alhaji Lasisi Akanbi Faseun as the Asiwaju of Erin Oke. Asiwaju’s duty is well known all over the world.”

In his response, Alhaji Faseun expressed his deep commitment to Erin Oke’s progress, “I believe that this town is meant for us to develop, and if we develop it, we can call our who-is-who to visit us and contribute too,” he said.

He assured the people that his priority would be the town’s development. “I promise that the development of Erin Oke is a top priority because there’s no other place like home. By God’s grace, Erin Oke people will continue to see more development .
