
The House of Representatives has passed the bill for the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre, Wesley Guild, Ilesa, following the presentation of the Health Committee’s report by Hon. Sanya Omirin representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency
This marks a significant step towards the official establishment of the Federal Medical Centre in Osun State.
It would be recalled that Hon. Omirin first presented the bill on October 28, 2024, with the second reading taking place on January 14, 2025.
Now awaiting presidential assent, the bill is expected to address the healthcare needs of residents in Ijesa South and its surrounding areas.
Once signed into law, the bill will grant Wesley Guild Hospital autonomous status, ensuring better funding and improved medical services.
