BUSUYI IBIRONKE: A POLITICAL JOBBER ADVERTISING FALSEHOOD ABOUT ESA OKE/ IDO AYEGUNLE CRISIS

Spread the love

The attention of Esa Oke community has been drawn to the above write up by one Busuyi Ibironke a nitwit from Kogi State, who has been criminally parading himself as the spokesperson of Ido Ajegunle (erroneously referred to as Ido Ayegunle) a settlement within Esa Oke community.

Ordinarily, we would not have glorified or dignified the ingnoramus with a response. However, lies left unchallenged may bear the toga of truth.

We therefore wish to start by first listing the names of members of Esa Oke delegation to the controversial settlement during the visit of the Panel of Enquiry set up by Osun State Governor to Ido Ajegunle.

They are as listed below:

Basorun Tayo Omojowogbe, Former Chairman, Obokun local government and two terms Special Adviser to Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, ; Prince Wumi Adeniyi, a renowned technocrat and Frontline Banker,; Barrister Gbite Adeniyi ; a successful legal Practitioner based in Abuja; Otunba (Engr) Yinusa Aremu Bamigboye, the Chairman of Esa OKE Central Union; and Chief James Ajewole, High Chief Asalu of Esa Oke and a retired seasoned administrator/ financial expert.

Will it not be apt to recommend Busuyi Ibironke, a political hireling and flippant errand boy for a psychiatric test if he could describe any of the above named men of proven integrity, unblemished tract records and an enviable intellectual pedigree as hoodlums and thugs?

The above fact notwithstanding , it behoves the Esa Oke community, the rightful owner of the settlement in issue, to put the matter in proper perspective, if only for the purposes of correcting the flaws in the ill advised allegations of Busuyi Ibironke so that he does not mislead the reading public.

Firstly, there was no sitting of the panel in Esa Oke as claimed in the paid advertisement. The panel only came to the controversial settlementfor an “on the spot assessment” in the presence of Security agents and Newsmen from both print and electronic media.

Secondly, on the day of the visit, Busuyi Ibironke and his gangsters numbering about fifty had stationed themselves in the settlement waiting in a bellicose mood for the visitors.

In saner climes, the political hirelings would have been behind bars by now.

Thirdly, the arrival of members of the panel saved some Esa Oke farmers that had earlier been waylaid, molested and detained, as usual, by the thugs criminally assembled by Busuyi Ibironke, who pretended to be inhabitants of the dilapidated and unhabitable huts that now dotted the controversial settlement.

In order to clear the air on this deliberate misrepresentation of facts by Busuyi Ibironke, the Chairman of the panel , Right Honourable Ropo Oyewole and members of his team, as well as the security agents who were present in the settlement during the panel’s visit will do well to come out and either confirm or counter Busuyi Ibironke’s account of what transpired at the scene.

We also implore anyone who cares to know the truth to contact the Punch correspondent in OSUN State or the Divisional Police Officer (DPO ) Esa Oke, for details of what transpired on the said day

Even though we now live in times and climes where illogic dominates logic, we consider it reckless and grossly irresponsible for a meddlesome interloper like Busuyi Ibironke, who is not even from Ido Ajegunle, to accuse HRM, the Owamiran of Esa Oke, of fuelling crisis in the 17 hut settlement under his domain, when in actual fact , the reverred monarch has been appealing for calm, and hoping for a peaceful resolution of the crisis, to the displeasure of some people.

What could be deduced from Busuyi Ibironke’s desperation and deliberate perversion of truth is the fact that it has now dawned on him and his cohorts that though lies may take a lift and quickly arrive at its destination, the truth will surely catch up with it someday. It is our fervent belief that no matter the level of blackmail embarked upon by these disgruntled and misguided elements, truth will be unmasked in no distant future, first through the Panel of Enquiry and ultimately through the courts.
