The Bobajiro of Ilesa, Chief Dideolu Falobi, has expressed strong confidence in the readiness and acceptance of the new Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Ajimoko III.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV’s Morning Show on Saturday, Chief Falobi affirmed that the newly appointed monarch is fully prepared for the responsibilities of the throne.

He described the new Owa Obokun as a well-groomed royal, equipped for kingship from birth in line with the long-standing traditions of the royal family.
According to the Chairman, Contacts and Mobilization Subcommittee of the Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup’s Coronation, the traditional ruler’s diverse background as a former Deputy Governor, a successful professional and businessman has further positioned him as a capable leader for Ijesaland.
He maintained that the people of Ijesaland have shown overwhelming support for the new monarch, noting that while minor disagreements typically arise in royal succession matters, the process has largely been peaceful and unified.
Chief Falobi who is also the Managing Director of Kresta Laurel shared insights into the monarch’s development agenda, revealing that 50 Ijesa youths have already been selected and trained in modern agricultural practices.
He explained that this initiative will form the foundation of OWA Ajimoko III’s vision to revamp the agricultural sector across its entire value chain.
As part of the activities leading to the coronation, the Bobajiro of Ilesa announced that several events have commenced, saying a major symposium focusing on the development of Ijesaland is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2025.
According to him, the official installation ceremony will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, when Owa Ajimoko III will be formally crowned with the ancestral crown, “Ade Isebanye,” and presented with the historic victory sword, “Ida Isegun,” associated with Owa Ajibogun, the first Owa Obokun.
