
In the build-up to his birthday, UK-based media mogul and President of the Prince Sunday Adewusi Foundation, Prince Sunday Adewusi, has awarded scholarships to students from various higher institutions of Ijesa extraction.
In a statement, Prince Adewusi noted that the gesture forms part of his long-standing tradition of giving back to society through yearly scholarship awards and youth-focused initiatives. While this year’s edition comes just before his milestone birthday, he stressed that his commitment to youth empowerment predates the celebration by many years.Over time, he has played a pivotal role in the establishment and activities of the Ijesa Youth Development Foundation and other empowerment projects.
The ten beneficiaries, drawn from institutions including the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree; Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke; and Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, each received ₦50,000 to help cover tuition and other academic expenses.
“This is not a one-off project; it’s something we have been doing consistently,” he said. “For this special occasion, we decided to once again support students who are determined to excel despite financial challenges. Beyond education, the Prince Sunday Adewusi Foundation will continue to make an impact in other areas from youth empowerment to healthcare and community development. The goal is to create opportunities that have a lasting positive effect on the lives of our people.”
They were selected based on academic merit, dedication to their studies, and financial need.
For years, Prince Adewusi’s philanthropic efforts have touched countless lives, with a consistent record of supporting education, entrepreneurship, and community growth.
