‎The Ajirowa of Ijesaland, Chief Lateef Bakare, has disclosed that efforts are underway to revive moribund industries across Ijesaland.

‎He explained that community leaders are working to ensure steady power supply in every part of the kingdom, stressing that uninterrupted electricity is critical to driving industrial growth.

‎Speaking in Osogbo as a guest on The Frontliners, a flagship programme of the League of Veteran Journalists in Osun State, the renowned captain of industry commended the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup saying the monarch has so far justified the confidence reposed in him, with no regrets in persuading him to ascend the throne.

‎Chief Bakare further urged Yoruba communities to strictly adhere to their traditions and norms when choosing monarchs, emphasizing that respected and well-connected rulers, such as the Owa Obokun, bring dignity, stability, and honour to the revered institution.
