The Owa-Ooye of Imesi-Ile, Oba (Engr.) Enoch Ademola Akinyemi, Oyoyo II, has poured glowing tributes on the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, describing him as a visionary reformer and charismatic leader whose contributions to the unity and progress of Ijesaland are unmatched.
In his royal message marking the 70th birthday of Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, Oba Akinyemi praised God for the life of the distinguished celebrant, noting that “seven decades of human existence is a rare gift of grace.”
The monarch, referencing Robert Greene’s philosophy that “reputation is the cornerstone of power,” described Asiwaju Fasuyi as “an icon with a robust and intimidating reputation built on integrity, service, and vision.”
“This gentleman has practically demonstrated genuine unification of the entire Ijesa sub-ethnic group of the Yoruba nation through his people-oriented programmes in health, education, trade, and commerce, powered by his Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi Foundation (AYFF),” the Owa-Ooye stated.
Oba Akinyemi highlighted Fasuyi’s entrepreneurial exploits as the founder of the Supreme Management and Training Consultancy Services and the Ibadan Business School, which have empowered many Nigerians and Africans through education and skill development.
“Though not a politician, many politically ambitious youths have received his support and mentorship. He is a human developer, a visionary, and a man whose generosity reflects wisdom, not weakness,” the royal father added.
Describing the celebrant as a “trailblazer, reformer, philanthropist, and bridge-builder whose light will never go dim,” the Owa-Ooye affirmed that Fasuyi’s dream of a united and prosperous Ijesaland signals a move towards achieving an “Ijesa State” built on peace, progress, and shared prosperity.
“Mark my words — Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi is a charismatic leader whose mental ability to project into the future is uncommon,” Oba Akinyemi concluded.
