
A new leadership team has been inaugurated to oversee the affairs of the Federation of Ijesa Students’ Union (FISU), National Headquarters, for the 2025 administrative year.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Ilesa Social Elite Club, attracted student leaders, past executives, stakeholders, and well-wishers who gathered to witness the official transition to a new administration.
In his inaugural address, the newly sworn-in President, Comrade Ogunkeye Olumide John, pledged to work closely with critical stakeholders to reposition the union for improved representation and greater impact.
He described the occasion as the dawn of a new era marked by unity, purpose, and collective progress, urging all Ijesa students to support his administration.

Also speaking, The Immediate Past President, Comrade Ayobami Adedeji, advised the new leadership to uphold diligence and integrity, noting that their performance would shape the future strength and cohesion of the union.
Leaders of major youth bodies, including the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, Comrade Akinbode Oluwasegun, and the President of the Ijesa Youth Forum (IYF), Prince Busuyi Adeleye, pledged their continued support to FISU.


They called on the new executives to work harmoniously with all structures of the union to ensure a successful tenure.

Other members of the newly inaugurated Executive Council include Ibrahim Saheed Temitope (Vice President I), Orimogunje Olamide Goodness (Vice President II), Fatukasi Glory Ayodeji (General Secretary), Emmanuel Ayomide Adebayo (Public Relations Officer), Omotoso Olusegun Esther (Financial Secretary), Ilori Shadrack Olawale (Director of Sports), and Odeyemi Quwapelumi Esther (Director of Socials).
For the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), Ekundayo Pelumi was inaugurated as Speaker, with Zakariyau Ruqayat Opeyemi as Deputy Speaker, Adekunle Sodiq Opeyemi as Chief Whip, and Omosola Gbadebo as Mace Bearer.
Other SRC members inaugurated include Oluwasanmi Temidayo Gabriel, Adekunle Adeyemi, Adefioye Okikiola Yusuf, Ajayi Adesola, Adeosun Tosin Ifeoluwa, and Abdulmuiz Adebayo.


The new leadership is expected to drive development-oriented initiatives while strengthening unity and effective representation for Ijesa students across Nigeria.
