The town of Irogbo Ijesa in Atakumosa East Local Government Area of Osun State witnessed a grand and colorful celebration as Chief (Mrs.) Olufunke Palmer Aderinto was officially installed as the Yeyemeso of Irogbo Ijesa.

The coronation ceremony, which took place on February 20, 2025 was attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, community leaders, and well-wishers from far and near.

The event was presided over by His Royal Majesty, Oba Ademiju Omokehinde Adifagberu (Jegbameji), the Arogbo of Irogbo Ijesa, who conferred the prestigious title upon Chief (Mrs.) Aderinto saying the installation was done in recognition of her contributions to the development of the community and her dedication to humanitarian service.

According to Oba Ademiju Omokehinde Adifagberu, “Chief (Mrs.) Olufunke Palmer Aderinto has been a pillar of support to Irogbo Ijesa noting that “Her unwavering commitment to the progress of our people, her passion for community development, and her selfless service to humanity make her truly deserving of this title.

He said “The Yeyemeso is a position of great responsibility, and we have no doubt that she will continue to uplift the people of Irogbo Ijesa and contribute meaningfully to our cultural heritage.”

The monarch further urged the newly installed Yeyemeso to remain steadfast in her good works and use her influence to drive initiatives that would benefit women, children, and the less privileged in the community.

In her Remarks, Chief (Mrs.) Aderinto expressed profound gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her, promising to uphold the values of the title and work towards the continuous growth of Irogbo Ijesa.

She assured the community of her commitment to supporting initiatives in education, health, and women’s empowerment, emphasizing that the well-being of the people would always remain her priority.

As the Yeyemeso, Chief (Mrs.) Olufunke Palmer Aderinto is expected to bring her wealth of experience and influence to drive positive change in Irogbo Ijesa and Ijesaland as a whole.
