Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup made this disclosure at his palace while inaugurating a seven-man Ijesa Hall of Fame Committee, chaired by Chief Akin Akinola, the pioneering Managing Director of International Brewery PLC, Ilesa.

The paramount ruler stated that the first phase of the project will culminate at Idi Iroko, Itakogun, emphasizing that he would collaborate with the government through legitimate channels to bring the proposal to fruition.

Explaining the rationale behind the hall of fame initiative, the first class traditional ruler predicated his action on the need to honor individuals who have contributed significantly to the economic growth of Ijesaland through the establishment of industries and higher institutions that continue to function, thereby encouraging the younger generation to emulate their achievements.

He added that the idea is to diversify the annual festivities in Ijesaland, with a view to creating more homecoming events for the sons and daughters of Ijesaland, and ensuring rapid development.

The maiden edition of the annual Ijesa hall of fame is slated for April this year.

Other members of the committee are the Elegboro of Ijebu-jesa, Oba Olufemi Agunsoye, the Alademure of Obokun, Oba Festus Awogboro, the Tirimi of Iperindo Oba Adedeji Ogunleye, Lady Dupe Ajayi-Gbadebo, Hon Diti Aluko and Hon Lanre Balogun
