Commenting on the election, the outgoing Aare, Arc. Timothy Odunayo Ashaolu, expressed satisfaction with the diligent approach of the Electoral Committee in managing the election process, which has been conducted peacefully and professionally.
He praised the members of Egbe Bobakeye for their maturity and commitment.
Addressing rumors of disintegration, he confirmed that as of October 3, 2025, the membership strength of Egbe Bobakeye is at 143, with 95 members having paid their 30k membership renewal dues for this year. Additionally, members have been settling their payments for the Damask Aso-Ebi selected for this year’s lwude Ijesa festival.
Echoing these sentiments, Bobaseye Akinyemi Olusegun Fasakin, the Convener and former Majeobaje of the Egbe, thanked the Bayo Fadugba-led Electoral Committee for their effective management of the electoral process.
He expressed his pleasure that the Bobakeyes have demonstrated that the organization is not a one-person show by holding elections for new officers to serve for another two years after a period of appointed interim officials.
He encouraged other similar organizations to follow suit and emphasized that no one, especially other conveners, should view their respective Egbe as personal property, but rather as a collective Ijesaland Egbe that has emerged through their leadership.

Excellently reported news item.
