
The Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, Oba Dr. Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to Chief Lateef Akande Bakare, the distinguished Ajirowa of Ijesaland, as he celebrates his 70th birthday today.
Speaking from the Palace of Erinmo, the royal father described Chief Bakare as a man of noble character, deep wisdom, and longstanding commitment to the progress of Ijesaland.
Oba Arowotawaya praised the celebrant’s consistent leadership, his contributions to community development, and his legacy of service to both tradition and society.
“Chief Bakare is a quiet force of influence, a man who speaks volumes through his actions. Over the years, he has remained steadfast in his dedication to the Ijesa cause and has used his position and voice to promote peace, unity, and progress across our land. His life is a blessing to our people,” the monarch stated.
The Elerinmo also noted that Chief Bakare has not only upheld the honour of the Ajirowa title but has lived it with integrity and excellence.
According to him, the celebrant’s humility, generosity, and moral strength have made him a role model for many within and outside Ijesaland.
“He has always led with wisdom and served with grace. His contributions to traditional leadership, youth mentorship, and communal harmony are well known. As he reaches this significant milestone, it is only fitting that we celebrate him and all that he represents,” Oba Arowotawaya added.
On behalf of the entire Erinmo community, the Elerinmo extended sincere prayers and best wishes to Chief Bakare for continued good health, peace of mind, and many more fruitful years.
