On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Kabir 2024, celebrated today on the 9th day of Dhu l-Hijja, 1445 AH, Hon. Sanmi Ebenezer Areoye has extended his warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim community in Atakunmosa East and West Local Governments, Osun State, and across Nigeria.
In his message, Hon. Areoye commemorated the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God, highlighting the occasion as a profound reminder of the values of sacrifice, compassion, and faith.
“As we gather with loved ones and friends to celebrate Eid,” he remarked, “let us also remember those less fortunate than us and extend a helping hand to those in need, especially at this crucial time in our own dear native land.” He emphasized that this period is a time for generosity, kindness, and reaching out to others, reinforcing the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, and standing united.
Hon. Areoye expressed his hope that this Eid would bring people closer to one another, deepen their appreciation for shared heritage and values, and remind everyone of the importance of love, compassion, and unity, not only during this blessed occasion but throughout the year.
Concluding his message, he wished all Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid al-Kabir filled with blessings, happiness, and prosperity. He prayed for answered prayers and a strengthening of faith, with the aspiration that NIGERIA SHALL BE BLESSED
“Eid Mubarak to each and every one of you,” Hon. Sanmi Ebenezer Areoye stated.
