This collaboration aims to drive industrialization, support local businesses, and harness the region’s mineral resources for sustainable development.

Speaking at the investiture ceremony of Engineer Johnson Olowokere as the 3rd President of ILECCIMA, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration is focused on transforming Osun from a predominantly civil servant economy into an industrial hub.

Reverend Jenyo emphasized that the chamber plays a crucial role in realizing this vision. “One of the priorities of Governor Ademola Adeleke is to change Osun from a civil servant state to an industrialized state, and the Chamber of Commerce is central to this mission and vision,” he said.

The Commissioner also noted that Governor Adeleke has made significant strides in fulfilling his promises, particularly regarding infrastructural development. “Governor Ademola Adeleke has delivered on his promises. He promised to provide a new trade fair center for the chamber, and by the time we celebrate next year’s trade fair, the land will be provided,” he assured.

Revrend Jenyo further pointed out the ongoing infrastructure development in Ilesa, mentioning the construction of a dual carriageway, a project that was previously unthinkable. “Governor Adeleke has begun this project, and it will be completed soon,” he added.

In addition to industrialization, He said the state government is eager to collaborate with the Leventis Foundation School in Ilesa to promote agricultural development in Ijesaland and across the state. Reverend Jenyo pledged that the government would revive and strengthen the partnership that had been neglected under the previous administration. “I can promise you today that we want to partner with the Leventis Foundation. A proposal will be submitted and granted immediately,” he confirmed.
