The Owa Obokun and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, has encouraged Ijesas in the diaspora to channel more investments back home, noting that the opportunities in Ijesaland far outweigh those in the Americas.
Owa Ajimoko III made this known when the Ijesa community in Maryland, United States, paid a courtesy visit to his palace at Obokungbusi Square, Ilesa.
During the meeting, the Owa Obokun Adimula outlined his development agenda anchored on four key pillars—Agriculture, Mining, the proposed Ijesa Chinatown project, and a participatory methodology designed to ensure active community involvement.

The monarch revealed that he has already taken significant steps to remove major barriers facing prospective investors, including resolving challenges related to land acquisition and securing arrangements with financial institutions to provide accessible investment loans.
He emphasized that these efforts were put in place to attract more Ijesa sons and daughters to participate in the growth and development of Ijesaland.

Owa Obokun expressed deep appreciation for the love and support shown by the Ijesa community in Maryland and thanked them for taking the time to visit.
He offered prayers for their continued success and urged them to make frequent visits to their homeland.
