
The Alamuye of Amuye Faforiji-Ijesa, Oba Dr. Adebayo Faforiji, has congratulated Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, on the celebration of this year’s Iwude Ijesa Festival 2025.
In a message personally signed by him, Oba Faforiji described the festival as a major cultural event that promotes unity, peace, and the rich heritage of the Ijesa people.
On behalf of the good people of Amuye Faforiji-Ijesa, Oba Faforiji said,”I congratulate Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Ajimoko III on this year’s Iwude Ijesa Festival. May this celebration continue to strengthen unity, peace, and the cultural pride of our people.”
He urged sons and daughters of Ijesaland, both at home and in the diaspora, to continue supporting Owa Ajimoko III in his vision and efforts toward the sustainable development of Ijesaland.
Oba Faforiji also congratulated the people of Ijesaland particularly the Iwude Ijesa Festival planning committee on the occasion of the celebration, praying for continued peace, prosperity, and unity across all communities under the reign of Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup.
He further called on youths to celebrate the festive season responsibly, emphasizing the importance of moderation and cultural pride in the success of all activities during the celebration.
Oba Faforiji who reaffirmed his support for the Owa Obokun Adimula commended the efforts of Ijesa leaders in preserving cultural heritage and promoting the welfare of the people, highlighting the significance of festivals like Iwude Ijesa in fostering community development and cohesion.
