
The family of the late Prince Gabriel Adelekan Haastrup, who passed on this year at the age of 87, has announced the final arrangements for the celebration of his life and legacy.
Prince Haastrup, a revered patriarch, community leader, and devout Christian, is being remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose influence stretched across Nigeria and the diaspora.
According to the official announcement, a Service of Songs will be held on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, at St. Saviour’s Church, Hanley Road, London N4 3DQ, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM (UK time).
Attendees are expected to dress in formal or smart casual attire, with a specific note requesting no black clothing.
For those wearing Nigerian attire, the family has recommended white clothing with a blue head tie or cap, in honor of the prince’s graceful and dignified legacy.

For those unable to attend in person, the family has provided Zoom access to the Service of Songs.

The Funeral and Burial ceremonies will follow later in the month and are scheduled to take place on the 25th and 26th of September 2025 at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church, Omofe, Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria.
The family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support received so far and welcomes all well-wishers to join in celebrating a life well lived.
