The First Lady of Osun State, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Otunba Felix Babatunde Obada, the husband of former Deputy Governor and ex-Minister of Defence, Mama Erelu Olusola Obada.
Otunba Obada passed away on Thursday at the age of 73.
In a condolence message made available to the press, the First Lady described the late Obada, who until his death was the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NeGSt Global Integrated Company Limited, as “a very creative, intelligent, enterprising, and diligent man whose demise is a monumental loss that will undoubtedly be felt across various spheres of our society.”
Chief Mrs. Adeleke highlighted Otunba Obada’s enduring legacy of wisdom, love, and service, saying, “He was more than just a pillar in his family; he was a beacon of hope, wisdom, and love whose impact resonated with all who had the privilege of knowing him.”She added that his life, built on the values of integrity, compassion, and service, would continue to inspire future generations.
Offering her prayers for comfort and peace to the grieving family, she wrote: “As you navigate this incredibly challenging time, I pray that the cherished memories of his remarkable life and the profound impact he had on his family, friends, and the wider community will bring you solace and strength.”
She also extended her deepest sympathies to Mama Erelu Olusola Obada, urging her and the family to take comfort in Otunba Obada’s lasting legacy and the divine grace of God during this time of bereavement.
“Mama Erelu, kindly accept my heartfelt sympathies and best wishes during this period of bereavement. May your family find the strength to celebrate his life and legacy in the days ahead,” the statement concluded.
