The Osun State Government, led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, has announced the hosting of an Industrial Investment Summit in September 2024.

The announcement came via a press statement from the Summit Consultant, Prince Rotimi Awelewa, in Osogbo.

The three-day event, scheduled from September 11 to September 13, 2024, will take place at the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Cultural Centre, Abeere, Osun State. Themed “Connecting Progress with Purpose,” the summit aims to position Osun State as a key industrial and commercial hub in Nigeria and West Africa.

The summit’s organization follows the inauguration of the Central Working Committee by the State Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, on May 10, 2024.

Designed to highlight investment opportunities and facilitate strategic matchmaking, the summit will bring together key stakeholders in Osun’s industrial ecosystem to foster partnerships and investments. According to Prince Awelewa, the summit’s primary goal is to establish an economic policy agenda that accelerates industrial investments in Osun State, grounded in sustainable and inclusive development.

“The summit seeks to identify and address the key challenges and opportunities for transforming Osun State’s economy, with a particular focus on Agriculture, Industrial Advancement, Manufacturing, Tourism, and Capital Investment,” Awelewa stated.

The event aims to drive significant industrial investment and economic growth across Osun State. It will leverage the state’s industrial, agricultural, mining, tourism, and ICT potentials to create sustainable wealth for its people and the nation.

This year’s summit is expected to be a pivotal event, setting the stage for future industrial development and economic prosperity in Osun State.
