The Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, has called on critical stakeholders to rally around him in the quest to develop Ijesaland.
The Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland made the call on Saturday when members of Egbe Bobakeye Okunrin Adimula Ijesaland paid him a courtesy visit at Ipebi .
The group was led by its President, Aare Arc. Timothy Ayo Ashaolu, alongside Prince Sola Adekunle, Mr. Oladipupo Ojo, and Olarewaju Apoeso (Diganga).
Welcoming the group, the monarch harped on the significance of their presence, noting that on the day of his coronation ceremony, they must be identified by their trademark shining caps, which he described as “very lovely.”
He prayed for the overall success of the group describing them as partners in progress
Also speaking during the visit, the Ogboni of Ilesa, High Chief Saka Fapounda, urged the group to support the Owa Obokun in achieving his vision of impactful development across Ijesaland.
According to him, Ijesaland needs the active participation of elite groups like Egbe Bobakeye Okunrin Adimula Ijesaland, which comprises captains of industries, businessmen and other prominent stakeholders who are successful in their chosen field to drive industrialization and economic growth.
Earlier in his remarks, Aare Arc. Timothy Ayo Ashaolu expressed gratitude to the Owa for warmly receiving the group.
He pledged the association’s readiness to collaborate with the monarch towards building a greater and more prosperous Ijesaland.
Highlight of the visit includes prayers for a peaceful and successful reign for Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup and for longevity on the throne of his forefathers as well as presentation of gifts to the OWA OBOKUN
