The Owa Omiran of Esa Oke, Oba Adeyemi Adediran, has appealed to the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to fulfill his promise of setting up a panel of inquiry to investigate the recent crisis that erupted in Esa Oke and Ido Ayegunle.
It would be recalled that on February 3, 2025, hoodlums attacked the palace of Oba Adediran, setting parts of the building ablaze and destroying the monarch’s SUV in the process.

Addressing journalists, the traditional ruler expressed gratitude to Governor Adeleke for his intervention but emphasized the need for a lasting solution to prevent future occurrences.
He also raised concerns over the unauthorized installation of CCTV cameras on farmlands within Esa Oke, allegedly preventing farmers from accessing their land for agricultural activities.
The Chairman of Esa-Oke Central Union, Otunba Gbamiboye Aremu, confirmed that the matter had been reported to security agencies.
He disclosed that a petition was submitted to the Commissioner of Police, but no official response has been received so far.
It would be recalled that on February 4, 2025, Governor Adeleke visited Ido Ayegunle and Esa Oke to assess the damage caused by the unrest and commiserate with the affected communities.
