
The city of Bedford in the United Kingdom came alive over the weekend as it played host to a royal wedding ceremony that united two prominent Ijesa families in love and tradition.
Paul Oyekanmi Ogedengbe, son of the late Obaala of Ilesa, Chief Obaala Oyekanmi Ogedengbe, exchanged vows with Ademide Adeniyi, daughter of respected Ijesa elder, a chatered accountant with NHS UK and Bobakeye Adimula member, Sunday Adeniyi, in a graceful and culturally rich celebration.
The wedding festivities began with the Traditional Engagement Ceremony on Saturday, 10th May 2025, held at The Marquee Bedford, Ampthill Road, Kempston Hardwick where the atmosphere was a blend of regal splendor and Yoruba tradition, with family members, close friends, and selected ijesa dignitaries in attendance.
It was a joyous occasion, marked by heartfelt moments, elegant fashion, and a strong sense of Ijesa pride and unity.
Notably, the Otun Aare Bobakeye Adimula of Ijesaland OmoOba Sunday Adewusi was present to represent the Bobakeye Club, adding a distinguished royal touch to the event.



Ijesa News TV reports that the wedding was a perfect fusion of tradition and modern elegance as the union not only celebrates love but also symbolizes the enduring legacy of the Ogedengbe and Adeniyi families in Ijesaland and beyond.
