The contractor handling the Ilesa Roundabout to Akure Express Junction dual carriageway project has affirmed that no individual will be treated as a sacred cow during the execution of the project.
Hon. Gbenga Onigbogi, Chairman of Horizon Group of Companies, made this statement in response to speculations that the site engineer was planning to deviate from the initial survey in favor of a political figure in the state. Hon. Onigbogi assured the people of Ijesaland that the project would be completed as planned without bowing to any pressure or influence of any kind.
The residents of Ijesaland were given confidence by Hon. Onigbogi that the company would fulfill their end of the bargain without yielding to any form of coercion or persuasion.
It is worth recalling that residents of the Imo axis of the road took to the streets on Thursday this week and engaged the media to protest the alleged attempt by the engineer to spare a mall, which they claimed belonged to the wife of a political tycoon in the state.
